Nathaniel Labuson-Paul, a celebrated abstract artist and proud Taguigeño, brings the ethereal beauty of the world into vibrant, textured acrylic paintings. Self-taught and inspired by the interplay of nature, emotion, and movement, Nat’s work resonates with a sense of freedom and boundless creativity.

Born and raised in Taguig, Philippines, Nat finds inspiration in his roots, the picturesque Laguna Lake visible from his home, and the rich cultures he’s encountered during his travels. His signature style combines bold textures, layers of metallic hues, and elements of light and shadow, creating a harmonious blend of chaos and tranquility.

Nat’s artistic journey began as an outlet for self-expression alongside his professional career as a mining engineer. Over the years, he has evolved into a recognized name in the art world, earning accolades as a two-time finalist for the Clifton Art Prize in Singapore and longlisted for the prestigious Visual Arts Open in the UK.

In 2024, Nat’s works were featured in Rare Beauty Art for CASK, an exhibit and charity auction in London benefiting CASK Research UK. Two of his paintings, Purple Dawn I and Purple Dawn II, were displayed as part of the initiative, which supports children affected by complex conditions. Nat remains dedicated to using his art as a platform to create positive change, supporting charitable causes close to his heart.

Through his art, Nat seeks to capture the ineffable—the moments of beauty that exist between light and shadow, structure and freedom, chaos and calm. Each piece is a journey, inviting viewers to step beyond the horizon and into a world of imagination and wonder.

Nat is a proud member of the Taguig Artist Group (TAG).
